Family Ministry Council
Consider this - Mark Holmen, who is a church consultant, speaker, and pastor says this - "While church programs and Sunday School can do much to encourage belief in today's youth and children, studies have shown that the influence of a family upon a child is much stronger.  In fact, Mom and Dad are two to three times more influential than any church program in passing on a lifelong faith to their children."  What does this tell us?  If parents and family life are more influential than the church, shouldn't we as a church focus more of our time, energy, and resources in assisting and encouraging families to become the kind of families that God intended in the first place?  I believe so.  It's time we start reclaiming what the Enemy is determined to destroy - the family.

This council will be a "planning team" made up of parents and church leaders who will meet on a monthly basis and develop creative ways to use our current church programs in equipping and supporting families for biblical spiritual formation.  If you have not already signed up and are interested in joining this team please see Mike Auten or call the church office, 893-5814.

The next meeting will be in September in the Fellowship Hall.
