John 1:14
1. Who is this man?
“Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (Luke 5:21).
“Who is this who even forgives sins?” (Luke 7:49).
“Who, then, is this I hear such things about?” (Luke 9:9).
“Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!” (Mark 4:41).
“What’s this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! Isn’t this the carpenter?” (Mark 6:2-3).
2. He is no ordinary man!
“‘But what about you?’ [Jesus] asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’ Simon Peter answered, ‘You are the Christ, the Son of the living God’” (Matt. 16:15-16).
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created…all things were created by him and for him” (Col. 1:15).
“In Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Col. 2:9).
